Scope of Works

• Arrive with a two-person van crew, confirm inventory and access.

• Protect walls, floors and doorframes; dismantle oversized items if needed.

• Carry furniture safely from property to van (stairs/lifts included if agreed).

• Load, strap and sheet items for transport.

• Transport to licensed waste-transfer station, charity, or reuse centre.

• Issue digital Waste Transfer Note and recycle or donate where possible.

• Typical: 30 – 60 minutes for up to three items.

• Extended by: third-floor walk-ups, long carry to parking, tricky dismantling, traffic-restricted slots, or adding more items on the day.
  

Questions to Ask Your Tradie

1. Are you a licensed waste carrier and will I get a Waste Transfer Note?

2. Does your quote include VAT, labour, disposal and call-out fees?

3. What percentage of items will be reused or recycled?

4. Are stairs, tight access or congestion/ULEZ charges extra?

5. How many crew attend and are they fully insured for damage?

6. Can you collect on the day/time I need—and what’s your failed-collection fee?

7. Will you dismantle large items, or should I do that beforehand?
   

How to Avoid Surprises

• Reserve parking or supply visitor permits for the van.

• Clear routes inside, measure doorways/lifts, and move breakables.

• List every item (loft, shed, garage) so nothing is “added last-minute.”

• Flag very heavy/awkward pieces (recliners, marble tables, pianos).

• Confirm who unplumbs or disconnects appliances.

• Advise if property is in a congestion/ULEZ or if keyholder won’t be present.

• Check landlord or building-management rules on lift protection and noise.
