Scope of Works

• Inspect extent of bamboo, identify species and map root spread

• cut and remove canes to ground level and clear surface debris

• excavate and remove rhizomes around the containment zone to reduce regrowth

• install root barrier or repair existing barrier where requested and feasible

• remove and dispose of arisings or chip on-site if agreed, and tidy working area

• use PPE for cutting and digging and contain dust and sharp debris during works

• will you excavate rhizomes or use repeated control measures and what guarantee do you offer

• how will you dispose of waste and are disposal charges included

• do you provide and fit root barrier and what material and depth do you recommend

• will access, parking or neighbour permissions affect the price and schedule

• what safety measures and PPE will be used, and do you need to isolate any utilities

How to Avoid Surprises

• confirm access and a nearby parking space for vans or a skip

• mark boundaries and inform neighbours where works border shared plots

• check for underground services before digging and tell the tradie about known cables or pipes

• agree waste removal method and who pays for skip hire or long-distance disposal

• flag any tight access, steps or fragile paving that might require extra protection or equipment
