• cut back overgrown sides and reduce height as agreed with client

• clear and bag clippings, sweep adjacent paths and tidy borders

• check for nesting birds or wildlife and pause work if present

• remove diseased material and advise on further treatment if required

• dispose of green waste or load for customer collection as instructed

Questions to Ask Your Tradie

• do you check for nesting birds and what happens if nests are found

• are you insured for public liability and working at height on my property

• how will green waste be handled and what disposal charges apply

• do you need access to my drive or on-street parking and will you need permits

• what PPE and site protection do you use to protect turf, fences and shrubs

How to Avoid Surprises

• clear parking or let tradie know where they can park large vans

• point out boundaries and any hidden features such as wires or irrigation

• advise if neighbours have agreed on height reductions or if there are party wall issues

• secure pets and keep children away from working area during trimming

• confirm disposal method and any extra cost for large volumes before work starts
