Scope of Works

• clear weeds, long grass and lightweight vegetation from lawn, beds and borders

• prune or remove small shrubs and cut back overhanging branches to ground level

• collect general rubbish, green waste and bulky items and load into van or skip

• separate recyclables and hazardous items (paints, asbestos suspicion) for appropriate disposal

• sweep paths, tidy patios and remove soil/debris to leave the area presentable

• bag contaminated waste separately and use PPE when handling mouldy or soiled material

Small tidy and rubbish removal typically 1–3 hours; medium clearances with multiple van loads 1 day (6–8 hours); large or overgrown gardens may take 1–3 days. factors that extend time: restricted access, lots of heavy or hazardous waste, need to hire a skip, limited parking and poor weather; operatives will use PPE when handling soiled or mouldy material

Questions to Ask Your Tradie

• what exactly is included in the written quote and what is charged extra

• how will you dispose of green waste and bulky items — van, council site or skip

• do you carry insurance and can you provide a WIP or public liability number

• will you remove suspected hazardous items (asbestos, chemical containers) and how is that charged

• what equipment will you bring and will additional operatives be needed for steep or large sites

• can you provide a written estimate for disposal costs and proof of correct waste transfer

How to Avoid Surprises

• clear a safe access route and point out tight gates or steps

• reserve on‑street parking if possible or confirm where the van can load

• tell the tradie about any hazardous items or chemical containers before the job

• check if a skip or lift permit is needed from the council and organise in advance

• secure pets and inform neighbours if noisy work or large vehicles expected
