Scope of Works

• use PPE for contamination risks (animal fouling, broken glass) and follow waste hygiene practices

Most front garden weeding and sweeping jobs take 1–3 hours for a typical semi-detached with a paved path and small borders; larger driveways or heavy moss can take 3–5 hours. Factors that extend time include parked cars blocking access, wet weather, dense roots and high volumes of debris

Questions to Ask Your Tradie

• what exactly is included in your price (weeding, sweeping, disposal)

• do you use herbicides and which product; can you avoid chemicals if I prefer

• how will you dispose of green waste and is there an extra charge

• how many operatives will attend and do you charge per person

• will you need mains water or electricity and is on-street parking required

• are you insured and can you provide public liability details

How to Avoid Surprises

• clear vehicles from the area or confirm parking arrangements

• move pots and fragile items out of the way

• point out drains, manholes and any underground service covers

• secure pets and keep children away while work is carried out

• confirm where you want green waste left or if it should be removed from site

• agree reschedule policy for wet or frozen ground
