Scope of Works

• Remove weeds from beds, borders and paved areas by hand and with a hoe

• Cut back and tidy herbaceous perennials; deadhead and remove spent growth

• Edge lawns, clear moss and sweep pathways and patios

• Prune small shrubs and lift overgrown groundcover to neaten beds

• Collect and remove green waste, bag for council collection or load to skip as agreed

• Use PPE (gloves, eye protection) and report any contamination (dog fouling, mould) needing separate treatment

Small suburban tidy typically 1–3 hours; medium gardens 3–6 hours; heavily overgrown or larger gardens can take 1–2 days. Factors that extend time include volume of waste, need for chipper/skip, poor access, and adverse weather

Questions to Ask Your Tradie

• Do you include green waste removal in the price or is that charged extra?

• Will you use herbicides and do I need to be told beforehand?

• What tools and machinery will you bring and do you need access to my water or power?

• Are you insured and can you provide references or photos of similar jobs?

• Do you charge extra for heavy debris removal (e.g. chipper hire or additional labour)?

How to Avoid Surprises

• Provide clear access and parking or let the tradie know restrictions

• Move cars, children’s toys and pet bowls out of the working area

• Point out plants to keep and any protected trees or boundary issues

• Confirm where green waste should be left or whether you want it removed from site

• Tell the tradie about narrow gates, steps or other access constraints before work starts
