Scope of Works

• Inspect site and agree boundaries and items to keep

• Cut back and remove overgrown shrubs, small trees and ivy

• Remove turf, surface planting and roots from agreed areas

• Break up and remove small areas of paving, slabs or concrete base

• Handle waste using appropriate PPE and stop to advise if suspected asbestos or contaminated soil

• Load and transport green waste and rubble to a skip or local tip

• Leave site swept and tidy and point out any follow‑up work required

Typical small to medium front garden clearances take 2–6 hours; removal of extensive hard landscaping or large trees can extend to 1–2 days and may need extra plant or permits.

Questions to Ask Your Tradie

• Do you include waste removal and tip fees in the written quote?

• Are you insured for public liability and employer's liability and can you show certificates

• Will you need access to water or electricity and where should I park for a vehicle or skip

• How will you protect plants, drains and boundaries I want to keep

• What happens if you find unexpected items such as asbestos, utilities or invasive roots?

• Can you provide a written quote, start date and estimated completion time?

How to Avoid Surprises

• Ensure clear access and a place for the tradie's vehicle or a skip

• Reserve on‑street parking or a permit if required to avoid delays

• Mark or cover plants and items you want to keep and remove valuables from the area

• Tell the tradie about underground services, gas meters or drains before work starts

• Keep pets indoors and inform neighbours if works will be noisy or involve a skip
