Scope of Works

• cut back overgrown bushes and prune shrubs to shape

• trim and tidy low hedging and edges to pathways

• remove cuttings, rake leaves and clear debris from lawns and beds

• pull weeds from borders and hard surfaces and apply tidy finishes

• check for and report any pest issues or damaged plants and point out potential hazards such as hidden irrigation or sunk paving

• load and remove green waste or leave for customer if requested; team to wear PPE when handling organic waste

Typical garden tidy and bush cutting takes 2–4 hours for a small to medium suburban garden. Larger gardens, severe overgrowth or jobs requiring multiple operatives, waste removal or specialist equipment can take a day or longer

Questions to Ask Your Tradie

• how will you dispose of green waste and is that included in the quote?

• do you have public liability insurance and can you show proof?

• what equipment will you bring and do you need access to mains power or a water tap?

• will you protect lawns, borders and paving and how do you avoid damage to irrigation or buried services?

• are there extra charges for steep or difficult access and for afterhours or weekend work?

• can you provide a simple written quote showing waste disposal, labour and any extras?

How to Avoid Surprises

• clear safe access and park space for the vehicle near the garden

• move pot plants and delicate items out of working areas

• tell the tradie about underground irrigation, cables or shared boundary hedges

• advise about pets and keep children away from the work area

• check whether permission is needed for high hedges or protected species before work starts
