• Do you include green waste disposal in the quote or charge extra

• Will one gardener attend or a team and how long will they be on site

• Can you provide proof of public liability insurance and waste carrier details

• Do you need access to a water tap or electricity during the job

• How will you protect paving, fences and planted areas from damage

• Are there extra charges for overgrown hedges, stumps or contaminated soil

How to Avoid Surprises

• Clear narrow access routes and let the tradesperson know about steps or gates

• Point out buried services, water meters and drains before work starts

• Make sure parking is available or check if a permit is needed for the van

• Provide a bin or agree disposal method to avoid unexpected skip costs

• Secure pets and inform the tradie of any resident allergies

• Check for conservation area or tenancy restrictions before pruning or removing plants
