Questions to Ask Your Tradie

• is the quote fixed price and does it include vat and disposal

• what specifically is included (mowing, weeding, hedge trimming, sweeping)

• how will you dispose of green waste and are skip or uplift charges extra

• do you have public liability insurance and a waste carrier registration

• can you provide before and after photos for the inventory check

• when can you start and how long until completion

How to Avoid Surprises

• confirm parking and access for vehicles or a skip

• point out communal rules or landlord instructions before work starts

• remove personal items and secure fragile pots or garden furniture

• tell the tradie about pets, hazards or known contamination so they can bring appropriate PPE

• agree where green waste will be left and confirm any extra disposal charges in writing
