Scope of Works

• mow lawn and edge borders

• strim around fences, paths and garden furniture

• trim hedges and prune small shrubs (light pruning)

• clear leaves, loose debris and collect cuttings for removal or composting

• weed beds, remove weeds by hand and treat persistent weeds if authorised

• rake and repair small bare patches, top up with seed or soil as agreed

• remove pet waste and use gloves and eye protection where required

Time on Site

Most tidy‑ups take 1–4 hours for a typical suburban garden; very small lawns can be 30–60 minutes, while overgrown or multi‑area gardens may take a full day or more. Time increases with heavy overgrowth, wet or muddy conditions, restricted access, large amounts of green waste to remove, and when hedges or trees require a two‑person team.

Questions to Ask Your Tradie

• what exactly is included in the quote and what would be extra?

• how many people will attend and how long do you expect the job to take?

• how will green waste be disposed and is removal included in the price?

• do you use herbicides for weeds and which products will be applied?

• are you insured and can you provide a public liability certificate?

• what will you need from me on the day (water, power, access to gates)?

How to Avoid Surprises

• clear gates and main paths and move garden furniture where possible

• arrange nearby parking or tell the tradie about restricted access or permits

• remove or secure pets and pick up pet waste before the team arrives

• confirm where green waste will be left or if you want it taken away

• point out protected plants, sprinkler heads and any buried services before work starts

• ask for COSHH/safety information if herbicides will be used and confirm PPE for the team
