Scope of Works

• Clear weeds from beds, borders and gravel areas by hand, hoeing and raking

• Remove moss and weed growth from patios and paths; spot treat with herbicide if agreed

• Edge lawns and tidy borders; cut back perennial weeds and unwanted self-seeded plants

• Collect and bag green waste for client bin or off-site disposal depending on agreement

• Apply mulch or weed suppressant membrane to beds where requested and specified

• Wear gloves and basic PPE; follow safe handling for any herbicides or contaminated waste

Small garden tidy and general weeding typically takes 2–6 hours; medium or heavily overgrown gardens 1–2 days

Questions to Ask Your Tradie

• Are you insured for public liability and will you provide a copy of your insurance

• How will you dispose of green waste and what will you charge for removal

• Will you use herbicides or power washing and can you confirm products and safety measures

• Do you provide materials such as mulch or membrane and how are those charged

• What access, water or parking do you need from me on the day

• How will you protect existing plants and hard surfaces from damage

How to Avoid Surprises

• ensure clear access and flat parking near the garden for tools and waste removal

• point out fragile plants, buried services or boundaries before work starts

• agree disposal method and any extra charges for large volumes or skip hire

• confirm whether water or an external power point is needed on site

• let the tradie know about pets and provide a safe area for them during work
