Scope of Works

• Inspect garden access and identify areas to be weed‑cut and cleared

• cut and remove weeds from borders, beds, paving, patios and gravel

• hand‑weed around desirable plants and tidy edges to avoid damage to borders

• strim overgrown grassy areas and collect cuttings for removal

• spot‑apply weedkiller where agreed, using appropriate PPE and containment

• collect and remove green waste to an agreed location or tip, or leave bagged for collection

Typically 1–3 hours for a small to medium garden; a full tidy and heavy weed clearance can take 3–6 hours or more depending on overgrowth, the amount of hand‑weeding required, access constraints and weather

Questions to Ask Your Tradie

• how will you remove the weeds — mechanical, hand‑pull or chemical spot treatment

• which weedkiller do you use and can you supply COSHH or safety information

• do you charge a call‑out fee and what is included in the estimate

• do you remove green waste and are there extra charges for disposal

• are you insured for accidental damage to paving, irrigation or garden structures

• can you provide references or photos of similar jobs you have done

How to Avoid Surprises

• ensure clear vehicle access and parking for drop‑off of tools and waste

• move or protect potted plants and delicate borders before work starts

• tell the tradie about irrigation, buried cables or drains to avoid accidental damage

• keep pets and children away while herbicide is used and during drying time

• agree waste removal method and where cleared material will be left before work begins
