Most tidy-and-edge visits take 1–4 hours on site depending on garden size and vegetation density; factors that extend time include heavy weed growth, overgrown shrubs or trees, restricted access, the need for a chipper or skip, and poor weather

• do you include green waste removal or is that charged separately

• how will you edge the lawn (spade, hand edger or powered edger)

• will you treat weeds and what products or methods do you use

• do you need vehicle access for a chipper or where will you leave arisings

• are you insured for public liability and damage to property

• what PPE and biosecurity measures do you use for ticks and soil contamination

How to Avoid Surprises

• clear access and arrange parking so the team can park close to the garden

• point out boundaries, buried services and ponds before work starts

• secure or keep pets indoors and remove children's toys and planters from work area

• confirm where green waste should be left and whether you need a skip or uplift

• check access permissions for shared drives or neighbours if larger vehicles are needed
