Scope of Works

• Clear beds of annual weeds, debris and spent plants

• Prune shrubs and perennials to tidy shape and remove deadwood

• Prepare planting holes, incorporate compost and soil improver as needed

• Plant shrubs, hedging or bedding plants supplied by client or agreed in quote

• Apply mulch and stake new plants, fit tree ties where required

• Edge borders, tidy lawn edges and make light repairs to turf where agreed

• Collect green waste and dispose or arrange recycling; use PPE when handling soil and compost

Small tidy and planting jobs typically take 2–4 hours; a medium garden refresh usually takes a full day; larger landscaping, turfing or multiple planting beds can take 1–2 days or more. weather, soil condition, plant availability and need for extra labour or a skip will extend time on site

Questions to Ask Your Tradie

• Do you provide plants and materials or will I supply them

• What is included in the quote and what would be charged as an extra

• How will green waste be handled and what will disposal cost

• Do you carry public liability insurance and can I see a copy

• Will there be any disruption to services (water taps, boundaries) and how will you protect surfaces

• What aftercare do new plants need and do you offer a short guarantee for planting

How to Avoid Surprises

• Confirm access and where tradies can park and unload

• Tell the tradie about water supply points and outdoor taps

• Flag any protected trees, boundary issues or underground services before work starts

• Agree disposal method and where green waste will be stored on site

• Keep pets and children away from working areas and newly planted beds
