• will you use herbicides and what precautions will you take

• how many operatives will attend and what is the estimated duration

• are you insured for accidental damage and public liability

• do you need access to a tap or secure parking close to the garden

How to Avoid Surprises

• clear patios, paths and move pot plants to give access

• check vehicle access and a place to load green waste or book a skip in advance

• let the trader know about pets and keep them secured during works

• tell them about recent landscaping, buried services or raised beds
