Scope of Works

• Trim low hedges, shrubs and perennial growth to tidy shape

• Edge lawns and cut back grass overhang from paths

• Clear weeds from paving, patios and gravel areas and sweep up debris

• Remove and bag green waste and larger arisings for disposal using PPE

• Apply spot weedkiller or lay mulch where requested and agreed

Most small garden weeding and trimming visits take 1–3 hours; medium gardens or work that includes hedges and heavy arisings take 3–6 hours. Factors that extend time include garden size, overgrowth, restricted access, wet weather, nesting season and multiple disposal runs

Questions to Ask Your Tradie

• Do you include disposal in the quote or charge extra

• Are you licensed to use herbicides and which products will you use

• Will you bring a second person or machinery for larger or faster work

• How will you protect borders, bulbs and paving during work

• Do you need permission for work near boundaries, trees or communal areas

How to Avoid Surprises

• Clear access to gates, paths and parking and tell the tradie about tight turns

• Agree where green waste will be left or arrange collection beforehand

• Point out buried services, irrigation and fibre cables before work starts

• Tell your tradie about pets, beehives or nesting birds and any protected plants

• Agree in writing on herbicide use, follow‑up treatments and payment terms
