Scope of Works

• Inspect garden, note access, slopes and boundaries

• Mow and edge lawn, remove grass clippings

• Trim hedges and shrubs, prune dead growth and shape

• Weed and tidy flower beds, apply mulch where requested

• Remove green waste and larger debris; chip branches if agreed

• Planting or turf work using supplied materials; spot chemical treatments with PPE and prior agreement

Small tidy or single lawn cut: 1–3 hours; medium jobs (hedge trim plus bed tidy): 3–6 hours; larger landscaping, turf or multi-bed planting: 1–3 days. Factors that extend time include poor access, very overgrown areas, need for specialist tree work, bad weather and waiting for materials

Questions to Ask Your Tradie

• Are you insured for public liability and can you supply the certificate?

• Do you provide a written quote and what exactly is included?

• How will green waste be disposed and is there an extra charge?

• Will you need parking, side access or a water supply on the day?

• Do you use chemical weedkillers and how do you manage PPE and neighbour safety?

• What guarantees or aftercare do you offer for plants and turf?

How to Avoid Surprises

• Clear access and move vehicles so equipment can be parked

• Tell the tradie about buried cables, sprinkler systems and external taps

• Agree waste removal method and where green waste will be left on completion

• Point out boundaries, neighbours and any communal garden rules

• Expect weather delays and confirm rescheduling or cancellation terms
