Scope of Works

• mow, edge and strim lawns and tidy grass cuttings

• trim hedges and prune shrubs to agreed shape and height

• clear beds, borders, paths and patios of weeds, leaves and detritus

• apply basic treatments such as lawn feed, moss treatment or spot weed control if requested

• remove green waste and take to the trader's vehicle or agreed disposal point

• operate petrol-powered equipment and use appropriate PPE; fuel handling and COSHH for chemicals will be managed by the team

• advise on follow-up work such as re-seeding, turfing or larger tree work where required

• what is included in the quoted visit and what would be charged as an extra

• do you use herbicides or other chemicals and can you provide product names and COSHH sheets

• are you insured for public liability and for working at height where applicable

• will you remove green waste and what is the disposal charge

• do you bring your own equipment and is fuel or hire included in the price

• can you provide a written estimate, a start date and payment terms

How to Avoid Surprises

• confirm access, gate codes and where tools and waste can be left

• reserve parking close to the property or tell the trader about permit restrictions

• secure pets and clear delicate pots or garden ornaments from work areas

• point out buried services, irrigation and lighting before any digging

• check whether water or power will be needed and agree where it can be accessed
