Scope of Works

• clear leaves, litter and cut back overgrowth from borders and paths

• mow lawn and trim edges, including simple moss control and feeding if requested

• prune shrubs and reduce hedges to agreed size, tidy and remove cuttings

• weed and cultivate flower beds and add compost or topsoil as agreed

• jet or sweep patios and paths and remove moss from paved areas

• load green waste and take to tip or compost area, or leave on site if arranged

Most routine maintenance visits take 1–2 hours; a small clearance or multi‑task visit is typically 3–4 hours and larger jobs can be half a day to a full day. factors that extend time include heavy weed growth, restricted access, additional waste disposal, adverse weather, and any specialist tree work requiring certified climbers

• what exactly is included in the quote (cut, trim, tidy, disposal)

• do you supply plants, compost and materials or should I source them

• how will green waste be handled and is disposal included in the price

• are you insured for public liability and for working at height where needed

• can you provide references or before/after photos of similar jobs

• do you need on‑site water or parking and are there access restrictions we should know about

How to Avoid Surprises

• ensure vehicle access and parking close to the garden for vans or trailer

• point out water supply and any outdoor sockets the team can use

• protect or move fragile pots and tell the tradie about ponds or buried services

• confirm gate widths, steps and any weight limits for machinery on drives

• tell the team about pets and clarify boundary ownership for hedge or tree work

• check if any tree works need permission, conservation area consent or council notices
