Questions to Ask Your Tradie

• Are you insured for public liability and can you confirm cover for waste removal

• What will you remove from site and what do you leave for composting

• Do you charge for disposal or skip hire and how is that calculated

• Will you need access to water or electricity and are there any extra charges

• How many operatives and what equipment will you bring

• Can you confirm a written quote and a clear start/finish estimate

How to Avoid Surprises

• Clear a safe access route and let the tradie know of narrow gates or steps

• Reserve parking nearby or agree a drop-off point for equipment

• Point out underground services, boundary disputes or protected plants before work starts

• Confirm waste removal method and where cuttings will be left if not taken away

• Secure pets and fragile items and note any site noise or local working-hour limits
