Scope of Works

• mow lawn to an agreed height and tidy edges around paths and beds

• collect and remove or mulch grass clippings

• trim and weed around cloche beds and clear debris from under cloches

• inspect cloches, ventilate, water plants as needed and advise on timing

• secure, repair or replace minor cloche fastenings and covers

• report signs of pests, disease or turf damage and recommend follow‑up

• use suitable PPE when handling soil, plants and green waste

Most routine visits take 45 minutes–2 hours depending on lawn size and number of cloches to tend. time increases for overgrown lawns, more than 10 cloches, required repairs to frames or in poor weather

Questions to Ask Your Tradie

• how many years' experience do you have with lawn care and cloche management?

• do you include edging and clippings removal in the quote or charge extra?

• how do you ventilate and water plants in cloches to avoid overheating and mould?

• can you repair or replace cloche covers and what would those costs be?

• are you insured for accidental damage to turf, plants or cloches?

• what PPE and biosecurity steps do you take to avoid spreading pests or disease?

How to Avoid Surprises

• ensure a clear route to the garden and parking close to the gate

• move fragile pots and unlock garden gates before arrival

• tell the tradie about pets, ponds or trip hazards

• have mains water available or confirm if the tradie will bring water

• check communal garden or allotment rules and inform neighbours if needed

• expect postponement in heavy rain and agree a reschedule policy up front
