Scope of Works

• mow lawn to an agreed height using push or ride-on mower as appropriate

• trim edges and use a strimmer around paths, fences and flower beds

• hand-weed borders and paved areas; remove perennial weeds where accessible

• spot-apply herbicide to persistent weeds if requested and agreed beforehand

• collect and remove clippings and green waste or leave as mulch per client preference

• report any drainage, pest or turf-disease concerns and recommend follow-up work

Most routine domestic lawns with light weeding take 30–90 minutes for one gardener; larger or overgrown lawns and deep hand-weeding typically take 2–4 hours. Repeat visits may be needed for herbicide follow-up or staged clearing.

Questions to Ask Your Tradie

• do you have public liability insurance and can you show evidence

• what exactly is included in the price and what triggers extra charges

• will you use herbicide and which product, and do you provide safety info

• how will green waste be handled and do you charge for disposal

• do you bring your own equipment and do you charge travel or call-out fees

• can you provide before-and-after photos and a written estimate for the job

How to Avoid Surprises

• clear lawn of toys, furniture and pots so work can start immediately

• ensure gates are unlocked or provide parking/entry details in advance

• tell the tradie about pets and secure animals before arrival

• agree where clippings and green waste should be left or that it will be taken away

• mention slopes, narrow access or neighbours’ boundaries so the tradie can plan equipment
