Scope of Works

• inspect lawn and identify weed types, moss, bare patches and edge condition

• hand-pull and dig out deep-rooted weeds and remove roots and runners

• spot treat persistent broadleaf weeds with approved selective herbicide where agreed; operator will use PPE and note re-entry recommendations

• edge turf using manual half‑moon edger or powered edger to create a neat border

• clear arisings, sweep or blow grass clippings and collect for green waste or composting

• fill and level sharp edges with topsoil or sand and lightly seed or spot-turf where requested

Small front lawns typically take 1–2 hours; medium suburban lawns 2–4 hours; larger or overgrown lawns 4–6 hours. Factors that extend time include heavy weed growth, restricted access, wet weather, and additional requests such as seeding or machine hire

Questions to Ask Your Tradie

• are you insured for public liability and for work on residential gardens?

• which herbicides do you use and will you signpost treated areas and advise re-entry times?

• will one operative attend or a team and what is your hourly rate per operative?

• do you include disposal of green waste in the quote or is that extra?

• will you use a powered edger and is machine hire charged separately?

• can you provide before-and-after photos and a written estimate?

How to Avoid Surprises

• ensure clear access to the lawn and remove vehicles, pots and garden furniture

• tell the tradie about underground sprinklers, irrigation heads or buried cables

• agree in advance whether green waste is taken away or left for composting

• check parking and ask about driveway or long‑carry charges

• keep children and pets away from treated areas for the recommended period
