Scope of Works

• cut back overgrown shrubs, brambles and self‑seeded small trees

• mow and strim lawns, remove weeds and edge borders

• prune hedges and remove climbing plants to a manageable height

• remove green waste, load van or skip and separate recycling where possible

• chip arisings for mulch and grind small stumps up to 20–30 cm diameter if requested

• wear PPE and take care with nettles, glass and wildlife; advise if contamination or hazardous waste is suspected

Small tidy jobs 1–3 hours; medium clearances 3–5 hours; large clearances 1–3 days depending on garden size, vegetation density and waste removal arrangements

Questions to Ask Your Tradie

• do you have public liability insurance and can you show a certificate

• what is included in the price for waste disposal and will you provide receipts

• do you handle stump grinding, tree work or will you subcontract an arborist

• how many operatives and what equipment will you bring, and will you need clear access for a chipper or skip

• are nesting birds, bats or protected plants likely and will timing affect the price

• can you provide a written quote with a clear breakdown of labour, disposal and extras

How to Avoid Surprises

• ensure good access and reserve parking for the tradie or skip

• measure gate widths and tell the tradie about steps, narrow paths or steep slopes

• move or cover garden furniture and secure pets before the team arrives

• check for buried services, irrigation tanks or shared access that could affect machinery use

• ask about permits for on‑street skip placement if you expect a skip to be used
