Scope of Works

• Survey site and agree which shrubs and brambles to remove

• Cut back and remove above‑ground bramble canes using appropriate tools

• Remove roots and small stumps; arrange stump grinding if required (extra)

• Chip or shred arisings for reuse as mulch or load out for disposal

• Clear and tidy the work area and remove waste from the property

• Treat regrowth when requested by the client; operator holds relevant qualifications if herbicide used

• Protect fences, lawns and nearby plants during operations

Time on Site

Typically 2–6 hours for a small to medium garden; larger or heavily tangled bramble patches can take 1–2 days. Factors that extend time include poor access, dense root systems, need for stump grinding or chipper hire, protected wildlife, and wet weather. Tradespeople will use PPE and may bring extra labour for safe removal.

Questions to Ask Your Tradie

• Do you include stump grinding or is that an extra charge?

• How will you dispose of arisings and do you hold a waste carrier's licence?

• Will you use herbicide for regrowth and are you qualified to apply it?

• What measures will you take to protect fences, lawns and neighbouring plants?

• What access, parking or additional site fees should I allow for?

• Are you insured for damage and will you provide a written quote and start date?

How to Avoid Surprises

• Give clear vehicle access and reserve a parking space near the gate

• Mark boundaries and any fragile plants you want kept

• Confirm stump grinding or chipper hire in advance so the quote is accurate

• Keep pets indoors and move vehicles from drive and neighbouring bays

• Tell the tradie about buried services, overhead cables or known wildlife issues

• Check for any estate or local restrictions and obtain permits if needed
