Scope of Works

• mow lawn to agreed height and tidy edges

• strim borders, paths and fence lines and remove surface weeds

• hand-pull or spot-treat persistent weeds with approved herbicide if requested

• rake and collect cuttings and weeds for on-site removal or disposal

• apply seed or top dressing to small bare areas if specified in the quote

• use PPE for chemical treatments and keep treated areas segregated until safe

Time on Site

Small lawns with light weed removal typically take 30–60 minutes; larger lawns or heavy weed clearance can take 1–4 hours. Factors that extend time on site include very long grass, poor access or steep slopes, large volumes of green waste, the need for herbicide drying time, and adverse weather

Questions to Ask Your Tradie

• is green waste removal included or charged separately?

• do you use herbicides and will you provide safety data sheets?

• how many operatives and what machinery will you bring?

• do you have public liability insurance and can you show the certificate?

• how will you access the garden and do you need a key or gate code?

• what happens if bad weather prevents work and is there a cancellation fee?

How to Avoid Surprises

• clear cars and provide parking close to the gate

• cut back overhanging branches that block access where safe to do so

• secure pets and remove children’s toys from the work area

• confirm permission for herbicide use and any communal building rules
