Scope of Works

• Inspect garden areas and agree which beds, borders and hedges to tackle

• hand weed and remove invasive species, using weedkiller only if agreed

• prune shrubs, perennials and light branches to improve shape and health

• cut and trim hedges to agreed height and tidy edges

• remove and bag arisings, separate diseased material and handle thorny plants with PPE

• leave site tidy and advise on follow‑up care or further works if required

Questions to Ask Your Tradie

• are you insured and do you carry public liability cover

• what exactly is included in the quote (weed removal, pruning, disposal, tidy‑up)

• how will green waste be handled and is there an extra fee for disposal

• do you supply replacement plants or materials and who sources them

• will you need parking, gated access or neighbour permission for shared hedges

• do you use herbicides/pesticides and can you provide a safety/data sheet if needed

How to Avoid Surprises

• clear access and remove cars from driveways or provide parking details

• point out boundaries, valuable plants or protected species before work starts

• secure pets and inform the tradie of any hazards such as bee colonies or pond areas

• confirm who supplies and pays for any replacement plants or extra materials

• check if scaffolding or working‑at‑height measures are required for tall hedges and agree costs in advance
