Scope of Works

• carry out a full diagnostic of the oven control system, heating elements, thermostats and fans

• isolate power and gas supplies and perform safe working checks before any intervention

• replace failed components such as heating elements, thermostats, relays, control boards or fans as required

• inspect and renew door seals and gaskets to restore temperature control and efficiency

• test and recalibrate temperature controls and safety cut-outs, record readings and issue a basic service report

• clean excess grease and debris around burners or elements to reduce contamination risks and improve inspection access

• advise on further work if major repairs, replacement parts ordering or specialist fabrications are required

Time on Site

Most diagnostics and small repairs take 1–2 hours on site; replacing major components, rewiring or gas work can take 3–6 hours and sometimes require a return visit if parts must be ordered

Questions to Ask Your Tradie

• are you certificated for gas work (Gas Safe) and electrical work (if applicable)

• do you have experience with this oven make and model or similar industrial systems

• what is included in the call-out fee and will you charge separately for diagnostics or test reports

• how long will the work take and do you need to order parts that could delay completion

• what safety checks and certifications will you provide on completion (electrical test, gas tightness, calibration)

• do you provide a warranty on parts and labour and how long does it last

How to Avoid Surprises

• clear access to the oven and surrounding areas and remove loose trays or goods

• advise the tradie of fuel type (electric or gas) and any isolations or permit-to-work requirements

• arrange parking close to the service point and provide any site access credentials in advance

• remove heavy grease build-up or schedule a pre-clean if contamination could hinder inspection

• confirm where waste and old parts can be left and whether a disposal charge will apply

• inform the engineer of relevant health and safety rules on site, including PPE, hot work permits or restricted hours
