Scope of Works

• Inspect and diagnose fault using error codes, electrical checks and test cycles

• Isolate power and water supply and check for leaks, blocked drains or hose damage

• Inspect and test pump, inlet valve, door lock, motor/bearing and drum movement

• Clean or replace filter and clear obvious blockages from hoses and drain pump

• Replace minor parts on site where possible (pump, door seal, valves) and refit covers

• Run a short test wash, confirm repair and advise on further work or parts required

• Handle water contamination or mould safely using PPE and advise on cleaning if present

Most diagnostics and minor repairs take 45 minutes–2 hours; part replacements or drum/motor work can take 2–4 hours or require a return visit if parts need ordering.

Questions to Ask Your Tradie

• What is your call‑out fee and does it include diagnosis

• Do you carry common spare parts and which parts will you replace on the day

• What guarantee do you offer on parts and labour and how is it documented

• Will you need to order parts and how long will a return visit take

• Do you test the machine after repair and provide a written or photographed report

• How do you handle disposal of old parts and do you charge for that service

How to Avoid Surprises

• Leave clear access to the machine and surrounding area

• Note the machine model, serial number and any error codes before the visit

• Provide parking or permit details and advise on lift access for flats

• Remove laundry and small items from around the machine and secure pets

• Tell the engineer about any water damage, mould or contamination so they bring PPE
