Scope of Works

• Visual inspection & basic diagnostics – check hoses, valve, drum bearings and error codes.

• Drain‑pump & inlet filter clean, remove coins, lint and detergent residue.

• Transit bolt check (new machines) or drum‑balance test (existing machines).

• Adjust and lock all four feet with a spirit level to eliminate spin vibration.

• Tighten hose unions, fit new anti‑flood or extended hoses if required.

• Test‑run rinse/spin cycle, monitor for leaks, abnormal noise and walking.

• Provide a short service report with care tips and flag parts nearing end‑of‑life.

Time on Site

A straightforward service and levelling takes 45 – 90 minutes.Extra time is needed for seized feet, tight built‑in cabinetry, replacing corroded valves, or running and draining a full diagnostic wash.

Questions to Ask Your Trade

1. Is call‑out, labour and VAT all included in the written quote?

2. Will you clean filters and check hoses as part of the levelling visit?

3. Do you carry replacement feet, hoses and anti‑flood valves on the van?

4. Can you supply a service report showing test results and future part warnings?

5. What workmanship warranty do you offer if the machine still vibrates?

6. Are you insured and qualified for water & electrical connections?

7. Do you charge extra for evenings, weekends or integrated units?
   

How to Avoid Surprises

• Provide clear parking next to the door for moving the appliance.

• Make sure the isolation tap turns freely and sockets are accessible.

• Empty cupboards around the washer and clear a path for tilting or pulling it out.

• Note any persistent error codes or leaks to show the engineer on arrival.

• Get a fixed, itemised quote (inc. VAT) covering call‑out, labour and any small parts before the van sets off.
